Australian Linds

I was pleased to come across your web site a while ago, and decided I should make contact.   My great great grandmother was Margaretta Lucy Lind (1818 - 1882), the daughter of Alexander Francis Lind, and grand daughter of the famous Dr James Lind.  She married William Tydd Taylor in Scotland in 1839 and they left for Australia shortly after, arriving in 1840.  She was a remarkable woman - so much so that the name Lind has been retained down the generations in our family.

David Shawn Lynd

My name is David Shawn Lynd, I wondered if you have any Linds who came to America whose surname changed to Lynd.
I have limited information with which to work but I recall my father, Robert William Lynd mention that someone had traced the family to Wales.
I wound be confident in saying the Lynds have been in America since at least the mid 1800's.
Any help is appreciated.
