I was pleased to come across your web site a while ago,
and decided I should make contact. My
great great grandmother was Margaretta Lucy Lind (1818 - 1882), the daughter of
Alexander Francis Lind, and grand daughter of the famous Dr James Lind. She married William Tydd Taylor in Scotland
in 1839 and they left for Australia shortly after, arriving in 1840. She was a remarkable woman - so much so that
the name Lind has been retained down the generations in our family.
